Where the prices come from.

Fuel Finder UK is a free app that compares live petrol and diesel prices at over 8,500 participating UK stations. It uses the official UK Government CMA dataset, updated every 30 minutes, so you always see real, verified prices from retailers like Tesco, Asda, BP, and Shell. No sign-up needed, available on Android and iOS.

Why is my local station missing?

Fuel Finder UK only shows stations that appear in the official UK Government CMA fuel price dataset. Retailers with 100+ sites are legally required to submit prices. Smaller retailers can voluntarily join. If your station isn't listed, you can encourage them to register with the CMA scheme or report it to the CMA. Coverage grows as more retailers join, currently 8,500+ participating stations and rising.

Yes. Add your reg and My Cars pulls your MOT status and history (with advisories) from official DVLA & MOT records, refreshing automatically each time you open it, and shows your road tax checked against the 2026/27 GOV.UK rates, including the special rules for imported cars, pre-1986 classics and vans. I first had the idea while driving an electric car. I could see charging prices and decide where it made sense to drive, and I wanted to bring that same clarity to petrol and diesel drivers, so we could compare prices, see the potential saving, and choose where to stop.

Building a reliable solution was not simple. But Fuel Finder UK now puts live fuel information on the car screen through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so drivers can make a better decision without touching their phones. It is helping our users save across 8,500+ participating stations in the UK.
