How to find the cheapest diesel near you
Diesel prices can vary significantly between nearby stations. Compare the right fuel grade, the real cost of the journey and whether the saving is worth the detour.

Compare standard and premium diesel correctly
Do not compare standard diesel with premium diesel as if they were the same product. Select the grade your vehicle requires, and check the pump label if you are unsure. Some data feeds also use distinct names for different diesel grades.
Calculate the saving on your actual fill
A 3p-per-litre difference saves £1.50 on 50 litres. That saving may not cover a detour, especially in a larger vehicle that uses more fuel getting to the cheaper station. Look at total fill cost and route distance together.
Check availability before making a detour
Prices are a snapshot and stations can temporarily run out of a grade or develop queues. Check the station details and any recent driver reports before leaving, particularly during busy travel periods.
Which diesel stations can you compare?
Results include participating retailers in the official CMA fuel price scheme, including major supermarket and forecourt brands. Coverage is growing as more retailers provide data, but not every independent station is currently included.
